These terms tell you the rules for using the Jobs Surrey website. They are in two parts: Part A sets out the Website Terms & Conditions that govern your use of the site, and Part B sets out our Fair Use Policy describing what is and is not acceptable use. Please read both. By using our website you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Part A — Website Terms & Conditions
1. Who we are
www.jobssurrey.co.uk is operated by Jobs Surrey Limited (“we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in England & Wales under company number to be confirmed, with its registered office at to be confirmed. To contact us, email info@jobssurrey.co.uk.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using our website you agree to be bound by these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. If you are using the site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
3. Changes to these terms and the site
We may revise these terms at any time by amending this page. Please check this page from time to time, as the terms in force are those published here when you use the site. We may also update, suspend or withdraw all or any part of the website without notice, and we do not guarantee that the site, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted.
4. Accessing our website
Access to our website is permitted on a temporary basis. We are not liable if the site is unavailable at any time or for any period. You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary to access the site and for ensuring that anyone who accesses it through your connection is aware of these terms.
5. Intellectual property rights
We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in the website and the material published on it, including the Jobs Surrey name, logo, branding, text, graphics and design. These works are protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws. You may view, download and print extracts for your own personal, non-commercial use, but you must not modify, copy, reproduce, republish, distribute or exploit any part of the site for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
6. Accuracy of information and job listings
The content on our website is provided for general information only. While we take reasonable care to keep vacancy details and other information accurate and up to date, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content is accurate, complete or current. Job listings may be filled or withdrawn at any time. You should not rely on the content as advice, and any reliance you place on it is at your own risk.
7. Applications and enquiries
Submitting an application or enquiry through our website does not create any obligation on us to find you a role, to put you forward for any vacancy, or to respond in any particular way or timeframe. Any recruitment services we provide to candidates or clients are governed by our separate terms of business and registration terms.
8. Links to and from our website
Where our site contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only and we have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content of those sites. You may link to our home page provided you do so fairly and legally and not in a way that damages our reputation or suggests any association or endorsement where none exists. We may withdraw linking permission at any time.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Subject to that, we exclude all implied conditions, warranties and other terms to the fullest extent permitted by law, and we will not be liable for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, arising from your use of, or inability to use, our website, or from any content on it, including any loss of profit, business, goodwill or data, or any indirect or consequential loss.
10. Viruses and security
We do not guarantee that our website will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your own technology and using your own virus-protection software. You must not misuse the site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful (see also Part B).
11. Privacy and cookies
Your use of the website is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we collect and use personal data and cookies.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, their subject matter and formation, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims), are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
Part B — Fair Use Policy
This Fair Use Policy sets out the standards that apply when you use our website, submit any material to it, or contact other users of it. It applies in addition to the Website Terms & Conditions in Part A.
13. Permitted use
You may use our website only for lawful purposes connected with genuine recruitment, job-seeking or hiring. You may not use it in any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation, that is fraudulent or has any fraudulent purpose or effect, or that seeks to harm or attempt to harm any person.
14. Prohibited uses
You agree not to:
- submit false, inaccurate or misleading information, or impersonate any person or organisation;
- use the site to post or transmit any unlawful, defamatory, obscene, offensive, discriminatory or otherwise objectionable material;
- post or apply for vacancies that are fraudulent, discriminatory or otherwise unlawful;
- use any part of the site to send unsolicited advertising or promotional material (spam);
- collect or harvest the personal data of any other user, including candidate or client details, for any purpose;
- infringe our intellectual property rights or those of any third party.
15. Automated access, scraping and data extraction
You must not access, monitor, copy or extract any content or data from the website using any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means, nor systematically retrieve data to create or compile any collection, database or directory, without our prior written consent. You must not take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure.
16. Content standards for material you submit
Any material you upload or submit to the site (such as a CV, application, vacancy or message) must be accurate, held in good faith, comply with the law, and not infringe the rights of, or be defamatory or offensive to, any person. You are responsible for the material you submit, you warrant that you have the right to submit it, and you grant us the right to use it for the purposes of providing our services. We may remove any material that, in our reasonable opinion, breaches this policy.
17. Security and interference
You must not misuse the site by introducing malicious code, nor attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the server on which it is stored, or any server, computer or database connected to it. You must not attack the site via a denial-of-service attack. Any such breach may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, and we will report it to the relevant authorities and co-operate with them.
18. Suspension and termination
We will determine, in our reasonable discretion, whether there has been a breach of this Fair Use Policy. Where a breach has occurred, we may take any action we consider appropriate, including withdrawing your right to use the site, removing any material you have submitted, issuing a warning, and taking legal action or disclosing information to law-enforcement authorities where necessary.

If you become aware of any misuse of our website, or any content that breaches these terms, please report it to us at info@jobssurrey.co.uk so that we can investigate.
